KOSHI TAPPU WILD LIFE RESERVE (80m)
It is said that Koshi Tappu is the island of Nepal made
by the Nepal's biggest river Koshi River in eastern Nepal.
This is the wet land where are different types of floral
and faunal species living in. Calling by 'the bird watchers
paradise' this Wild Life Reserve is famous for wild water
buffalo and the bird.
ANTUDANDA (1677m)
Lying in north eastern Nepal, Shri Antu Danda (Ilam) is
a very beautiful mound that is famous for sunrise view and
the unique, spectacular and splendid view of the Himalayas
above 8000m like Mt. Kanchenjungha, Makalu, Mt. Everest,
Lhoste and low land like Kalingpong, Sikkim and some nice
places of West Bengal. Ever green tea garden has added more
beauty in nature.
DAMON (2400m)
It lies 80km south west of Kathmandu valley.
It is said that all mountains of Nepal above 8000m can be
seen from there (view tower) with the help of powerful telescope.
Recently a botanical garden is established there which is
the highest botanical garden in the world. It lies on the
way of Nepal’s oldest Highway ‘Tribhuvan Rajpath’ built
in 1953AD. This is the interesting geological part of Nepal
between Hetauda and Kathmandu along the road.
POKHARA (819m)
This is very nice lakeside valley of Nepal where is situated
the Fewa Lake, Begnas Lake, Rupa Lake etc. Machhapuchhre
Himal is 28km north of Fewa Lake. The reflection of Machhapuchhre
Himal in the level of Fewa Lake looks really beautiful and
attractive. The lakeside city is surrounded by the Manaslu,
Annapurna Himalayan range, Nilgiri, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung
Himal and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range from east, north and
west side and lesser Himalayan range from south side. It
is the only one place in the world from where it can be
seen the Himalayas very closely having a cold drink in the
low land city. A Japanese monk-Ekai Kawaguchi came to Nepal
in 1900AD, he was the 1st trekker visited Pokhara. There
are many side places and things to see in and around Pokhara
valley. This is one of the scenic, popular and important
tourist destinations of Nepal.
ROYAL CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
This is very popular National Park of Nepal listed in World
Heritage Site. It lies in subtropical rain forest where
are over 400 species of birds and many different types of
animals like one horned rhino, elephant and Bengal tiger,
leopard, sambar, barking deer, bison, Gangetic Dolphin,
gaur and blue bull etc and endangered reptiles like Gharial,
crocodile and golden monitor lizard. There are many different
types of facilities available to be provided to the trekkers
like elephant riding, chasing the Bengal tiger riding on
the back of elephant, canoeing, elephant breeding center,
communication, transportation, swimming pool, hotels and
resorts etc. This National Park is completely developed
Eco-friendly that is only 5 to 6 hours drive from Kathmandu
but it is also linked by the airway service.
Detailed itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu (1310m)
Day 02-03 : Mountain flight before
noon that is the Himalayan adventure with scenic views of
the Himalayas very closely then fly or drive to Pokhara
(819m) same day , next day explore Pokhara valley.
Day 04-05 : Drive to Chitwan (150m)
and enjoy with nature and Tharu culture. Chase the elusive
Bengal tiger riding on the elephant, jeep safari, jungle
walk, watch the elephant breeding center, explore the Tharu
culture, enjoy and dance with them.
Day 06-07 : Drive to Inaruwa and explore
the Koshi Tappu Wild Life Reserve, bird and wild water buffalo
watching etc.
Day 08-10 : Drive to Fikkal passing
through the tea gardens and see the sunrise from Antu Danda,
explore the area of tea, local cardamom, herbal products
and fresh cheese along with Rai culture. There is also an
opportunity to go to Darjeeling via Pashupatinagar.
Day 11 : Drive to Dharan and stay there.
Day 12 : Drive to Bhedetar; a nice
mound, which provides a spectacular views of the mountains,
heart alluring river valleys, village settlements in the
mid mountains and plain land of Terai. This place is very
famous in eastern Nepal for views. Trek to Tumlingtar via
Dhankuta, Hile is another option from here. In the evening
back to Dharan.
Day 13 : Drive to Chatara by the Koshi
River canal pad, then hike to Baraha Kshetra- one of the
very important religious site of Hindus. The nice confluence
of Arun, Sunkoshi and Tamor rivers by the TRIVENI provides
unique experience to the visitors. Hike back to Chatara
and stay in Dharan.
Day 14 : Drive to Hetauda along the
East West Highway and stay there.
Day 15 : Drive back to Kathmandu via
Daman, this is the first road of Nepal (made in 1953AD)
between Hetauda and Kathmandu where the world's highest
botanical garden is located in Daman and the views of all
mountains of Nepal above 8000m can be seen from there in
a clear day.
Day 16 : Drive to Nagarkot or Dhulikhel
or Kakani and stay there.
Day 17 : See the view of the Himalayas
and the deep river valley then drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 18 : Sightseeing and shopping in
Kathmandu.
Day 19 : Fly back home.
