Description
"Out of 32 kinds of rhododendron flowers found in Nepal,
Lali Gurans" the red rhododendron is the national flower
of Nepal which is very beautiful and can be found at an
elevation of above 2000m in the western and 2500m in the
eastern part of Nepal. One can enjoy with the red rhododendron
flowers any where in Nepal at the time of blooming but the
Milke area in Makalu region and Pun Hill in Annapurna region
can be the model places to enjoy with bloomy nature. Many
foreigners visit the Pun Hill to see the majestic Himalayan
views through the rhododendron forests but very few foreigners
have visited the Milke area.
Detailed itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu
Day 02 : Fly to Biratnagar (235ft) and stay in Dharan
Day 03 : Drive to Bhedetar, watch the
wonderful views of Saptakoshi River Valley, Koshi Tappu
Wild Life Reserve and Makalu Himal, head to Tamor River
valley by passing the Mulghat village then comes the Milke
area crossing the Tamor River. Dhankuta Bazar the headquarter
of Eastern Development Region of Nepal and the Super Market
of Eastern Hilly Region is very beautiful and historic village
to explore the nature and culture. Basantpur is the nice
place to stay where the road ends.
Day 04 : Start hiking up-hills, trail
splits at Bhanjyang (the tea houses spot). It heads the
right way to Taplejung and left way to Sankhusabha. The
Lali Gurans finds from Thute Deurali (2500m). Have lunch
in Tindune where are some simple hotels that is about 5
hours from Basantapur. Tinjure Bhanjyang (11000ft) is very
beautiful place where are wide fields everywhere. Stay in
the beautiful villageof Chauki.
Day 05 : Mangalbare is the pleasant
place after Tinjure Bhyang then pass through Lali Gurans
forest to Srimane and have lunch here. Lampokhari and Gufapokhari
are the beautiful spots, in which surface the reflection
of Makalu Himal looks so wonderful, yak fields also allure
the people, stay there.
Day 06-07 : Reach the last village
of Sukepokhari in the tour then explore the Guranse forest
of Milke Bhanjyang and beautiful wide fields of Guranse
Danda etc
Day 08-11 : Hike back to Basantapur
and drive to Fikkal bazar of Ilam district to explore the
beautiful tea gardens then back to Biratnagar
Day 12 : Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 13 : Sightseeing and shopping in
Kathmandu
Day 14 : Fly back home
