Description
Located in the southern part of west Nepal, listed in World
Heritage Site, Lumbini is one of the most popular places
in the world for the tourists mainly Buddhists. The place
is very famous for mediation and peacefulness. This is the
lord Buddha’s birthplace where are many things to see like
monasteries made by many different countries where one can
spend time for meditation, Ashok Pillar made by the great
Indian Emperor Ashok in 245BC, Sacred pond where Maya Devi
took bath just before giving birth to Lord Buddha, newly
build Maya Devi temple and peaceful gardens etc. Some side
trips can be done to Tilaurakot where Buddha grew up as
the prince, Sunauli- the Indian border, Tansen- the view
point of the Kanjirowa, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu,
Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himalayan range.
People who are interested for meditation,
exploring Nepalese and Indian mix-culture, researching on
the Lesser Himalaya, Outer Himalaya and the plain lowland,
to know more about Lord Buddha or making film of the Lord
Buddha from his origin place and who do not like hike so
much as a trekker in the mountain, Lumbini can be better
choice for them.
Some important Interesting places to see in
and around Kathmandu valley are Baudhanath, Swoyambhunath,
Pashupatinath, Lakuribhanjyang, Asur cave, Kakani, Jamachowk,
Shivpuri, Sundarijal, Kirtipur, Nagarkot, Basantapur Durbar
square, Patan Durbar square and Bhaktapur Durbar square

Lumbini is linked with surface and air transportation
to Kathmandu directly.
Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu (1310m)
Day 02 : Mountain flight before noon,
plane takes you to the scenic Himalayas very closely then
rest in Kathmandu
Day 03 : Fly to Bhairahawa and stay
there
Day 04-05 : About half hour drive to
Lumbini, explore the Lord Buddha’s birthplace and stay in
Lumbini
Day 06 : Drive to Tilaurakot –the capital
city of Kapilvastu, where Lord Buddha spent his first 29
years as the prince, explore the fortress palace and ruined
walled city
Day 07 : Drive to Tansen, a very famous
historic town of West Nepal.
Day 08 : Explore the mid mountainous
village town surrounded by the Himalayas like Fishtail,
Annapurna, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri to the north east and Siwalik
hills and Churia range to the south west. Stay in Srinagar
Tansen at nice hotel.
Day 09 : Drive to Chitwan, this is
famous for exotic nature, Tharu culture and modernism
Day 10 : Chase the elusive Bengal tiger
riding on the elephant, jeep safari, jungle walk, watch
the elephant breeding center, explore the Tharu culture,
enjoy and dance with them
Day 11 : Drive to Pokhara, the 2nd
biggest valley of Nepal with spectacular views of the Annapurna
and Fishtail Mountain
Day 12-13 : Explore the lakeside city
Pokhara in and around
Day 14 : Fly or drive back to Kathmandu
Day 15-16 : Sightseeing and shopping in Kathmandu
valley
Day 17 : Fly back home
