Description
Inhabited in Thak Khola along KaliGandaki River valley right
between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan ranges Thakali
are the civilized people so called noble caste. Their caste
is named by the Thak Khola (a stream ). Mostly involved
in hotel business, trade and foreign job, they are nice,
cooperative and energetic people. Culturally they more like
the Buddhists. Mapha, Tukuche, Syang, Larjung, Thini and
Jomsom are the popular villages of Thakali people which
lie in Annapurna Circuit trek.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu (1310m)
Day 02 : Fly or drive to Pokhara
Day 03 : Fly to Jomsom (2700m) and stay there.
Day 04 : Hike up to Thini village to
explore the ancient Thakali culture and the Buddhism, it
can be extended to Phalayak and Kagbeni villages.
Day 05-06 : Hike up to Muktinath to
know more about Thakali history and explore the area
Day 07 : Hike back to Jomsom and head
to Marpha. This is the popular village for sweet apples
and pizza.
Day 08 : Hike to Tukuche, Larjung and
Kobang to explore the Thakali culture in more detail.
Day 09 : Hike back to Marpha
Day 10 : Hike back to Jomsom
Day 11-13 : Fly back Pokhara and explore
the beautiful Pokhara valley in and around.
Day 14 : Fly or drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 15 : Sightseeing and shopping in
Kathmandu.
Day 16 : Fly back home.
