Manang village is very famous almost all over the world. It is said that having nomadic tradition Tibeto-Burman people found the Manang hidden valley surrounded by the Annapurna, Manaslu Himalayan range and the beautiful white peaks Chullu and Pisang, moving across the mountains hunting and searching for food and dependable shelter, settled there centuries ago. The region is famous for the spectacular view of the Himalayas, high country flora and fauna and beautiful landscape where the world's highest lake Tilicho (4919m) is situated, Tibetan saint Mila Repa, a great singer with melodious voice mediated and bowl shaped geomorphology located to the north east side of Pisang. The village lies in the famous Annapurna circuit trekking route. There are nice opportunities to explore Tilicho Lake, Gangapurna Lake, Manang valley viewpoint, Milarepa Cave and Annapurna and Gangapuran glaciers in and around Manang village. The valley has unique speciality for endangered species like the elusive snow leopard and blue sheep, vibrant colors of nature, wild herbal plants, flowers, tranquil lakes and serene natural environment.

The region is developed for the trekkers along the trekking route. Nice hotels and lodges are built here. There are English and Indian movies for pleasure. Most of the outdoor adventure items are available in the market. Email, Internet and international telephone service is also available in Manang village. Over 80000 foreigners visit this region every year. Sometimes there are more trekkers than local people. Recently the special packages like a snow leopard watch, religious pujas(worship), climbing courses, mountain biking, marathon competitions and heli-treks have been developed on them occasion of 'Destination Manang 2004.' A number of few peaks have recently opened by the government for climbing.

Detailed itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu (1310m)
Day 02 : Fly to Hungre (3280m) by charter heli-copter and stay there.
Day 03 : Hike up to Braga village and explore the ancient monastery and village of Braga
Day 04 : Hike up to Milrepa Cave in Annapurna III glacial valley and explore the valley then back to Braga
Day 05 : Morning hike to Manang village and expolre Manang village and Gangapurna glacier.
Day 06 : Hike to Khansar and stay there.
Day 07 : Hike up to Tilicho base camp and stay at Base Camp Hotel.
Day 08 : Hike up to Tilicho Lake and camp there.
Day 09 : Morning hike to Mesokantu pass, explore the Himalayan range and river valley then hike back to the camp.
Day 10 : Hike back to Yak Kharka and stay there.
Day 11 : Hike up to Thorang High camp hotel and stay there.
Day 12 : Early hike up to Thorang pass (5416m) then hike down to Muktinath.
Day 13 : Hike down to Kagbeni then to Jomsom.
Day 14 : Explore Thini; the oldest village of the valley.
Day 15-16 : Fly back to Pokhara by plane and explore Pokhara valley.
Day 17 : Fly back to Kathmandu by plane.
Day 18 : Sightseeing and shopping in Kathmandu
Day 19 : Fly back home.
