Annapurna Base Camp Trek / Annapurna Sanctuary Trek (PP)

Overview

This spectacularly photogenic trek on the southern side of the Himalayas is the approach route for the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre base camps. The trail passes through the cultivated fields, beautiful traditional Gurung tribal villages, temperate rhododendron forests, and into alpine tundra. The early morning view of the Annapurna range from atop Poon Hill is unparalleled by any places accessible by roads. The top point on the trek is 4200 m, making it ideal for people wishing to avoid high altitudes.

Package Itineary

Day 01: Arrive Pokhara (820m), explore the lake side city in the afternoon, hotel

Day 02: Drive to Dhampus, hike to Pothana (1890 m), uphill trail passes through an evergreen forest nice views of Pokhara valley.

Day 03: Pothana-Deurali (2200m)-Landruk (1640m), nice view of rhododendron forests, Himalayas, Modi Khola and Pokhara valley.

Day 04: Landruk - Chomrong (2170m) crossing new bridge over Modi Khola and ascending about 600m.

Day 05: Chomrong - Himalaya Hotel (2870m), trail passes the avalanche in narrow Modi Khola valley.

Day 06: Hike to Machhapuchhre base camp (3700m), passing the landslide and avalanche chutes.

Day 07: Arrive the ultimate destination Annapurna base camp (4130m) and explore the area of glacial valleys.

Day 8-9: Hike back to Chomrong.

Day 10: Chomrong - Tadapani (2590m), non-stop view of the Machhapuchhre (Fishtail 6993m), Hiuchuli and Annapurna south.

Day 11: Hike to Ghodepani (2750m) with spectacular view of the Himalayas passing through the rhododendron forest.

Day12: Early trip to Poon Hill (beautiful mound in the red rhododendron forest) for the best view of the Himalayas like Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna (8091m), Nilgiri Hills, Fishtail (6993m) very closely with sunrise scene, hike back to Ghodepani and then hike down to Tikhedhunga (1540m).

Day 13: Hike down to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara, hotel.
Day 14: Explore Pokhara valley.
Day 15: Fly back home.

Detailed Trip Cost

Entire trip cost per person (USD): $1,499 (1pax complimentary in every 11 paid guests group)

Trip cost includes:
All accommodation (twin sharing basis) & food; three meals a day -breakfast, lunch and dinner (except bar bill), insured crew (guide, porters, donkeys, dzopa), all essential permits, all domestic transportation as per the itinerary, service charge and government taxes.

Trip cost does not include:
Personal expenses (like laundry, communication, alcohol, cold drinks and bottled water during the trek), gratuity to serving crew, emergency evacuation, international airfare, visa, your travel insurance and any kind of gifts and donation.

Payment system

80% of total trip budget must be paid in advance (the amount should be appeared to our account just two weeks before the trips) for domestic transportation, permits, hotel bookings reconfirmation and essential preparations.
Balance can be paid before or during/after the trip.

Refund system
In case of trip cancellation in the last 10 days of group arrival, 50% of the deposited amount will be deducted. If the trip cancels 10 days before the group arrival, we settle the full amount in next trip.
