Overview

This trek gives you the wonderful experience of Indo Aryan Hindu Shamanist culture and Tibeto Burmese Buddhist culture as well as unique landscape, exciting mountain flights from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and Nepalgunj Simikot sectors, Nunekhara; the iceberg lake in Bajura, majestic Saipal Himal (7031m) - one of the highest peak in far west Nepal, wonderful panorama of Api, Saipal, Changla, Gorakh and holy Mount Kailash, beautiful river valleys of Humla Karnali and Kuwadi. You will have unique village tour where you will enjoy the 13th century civilization. Some of such beautiful traditional settlements you go through are Dharapori, Kermi, Yalbang, Yanger and Muchu.

 

You will walk up to beautiful glacial valley of Nunekhara; the base camp of Saipal Himal from eastside, Nunekhara iceberg Lake; origin of a tributary of Karnali River where you see icebergs floating in the lake, magical beauty of hanging icefalls, gulley and waterfalls, beautiful meadows in Sain valley where you see herds of yaks, sheep and horses. You will have great experience of nature from Sankha Lagna Pass (4700m); lower ridge of Saipal, the highest point of the trip and the view point of Mt. Kailash, Gorakh, Saipal peak, Changla Himal, Kuwadi Sain valley, Humla Karnali & Yari valley. Chala crest is famous for earth scientists.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (1310m), hotel

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu, fly to Nepalgunj (160m), hotel
Day 03: Fly to Simikot (2700m), hike to Dharapori (2360m), landscape and lifestyle, camp

Day 04: Hike to Salli Khola (2885m), landscape and lifestyle, camp
Day 05: Salli Khola - Chala Khola (3510m), landscape and lifestyle, camp
Day 06: Hike to Sain (3530m), magical Himalaya panorama, landscape and lifestyle, camp
Day 07: Day hike to Nunekhara glacial lake and Saipal Base Camp, rare flora and fauna, camp
Day 08: Hike to Sankha Lagna Phedi (4200m), landscape, camp
Day 09: Hike to Sankha Lagna (4700m) - Chala village (3750m), landscape and lifestyle, camp
Day 10: Chala - Syakup Lagna (4230m) - Piuya Goth (3510m), landscape and lifestyle, camp
Day 11: Piuya - Garsa Lagna (4010m) - Muchu (3070m), landscape and lifestyle, camp
Day 12: Muchu - Yalbang (3080m), landscape and lifestyle, camp
Day 13: Yalbang - Kermi (2860m), landscape and lifestyle, hot spring, camp
Day 14: Hike to Dharapori (2350m), landscape and lifestyle, camp

Day 16: Rest day in Simikot, explore in and around Simikot, camp
Day 17: Fly to Nepalgunj and then fly to Kathmandu
Day 18: Cultural heritage site tour in Kathmandu valley

Detailed Trip Cost

Entire trip cost per person (USD):    $3,990 (including restricted area permit)

1pax complimentary in every 11 paid guests group.

 

 

Trip cost includes:
All accommodation (twin sharing basis) & food; three meals a day -breakfast, lunch and dinner (except bar bill), insured crew (guide, porters, donkeys, dzopa, yaks and necessary kitchen crew for camping trek), all essential permits, all domestic transportation as per the itinerary, service charge and government taxes.

Trip cost does not include:
Personal expenses (like laundry, communication, alcohol, cold drinks and bottled water during trekking), gratuity to serving crew, emergency evacuation, international airfare, visa, your travel insurance and any kind of gifts and donation.

Payment system

  • 80% of total trip budget must be paid in advance (the amount should be appeared to our account just two weeks before the trips) for domestic airline tickets, permits, hotel bookings reconfirmation and essential preparations.
  • Balance can be paid before or during/after the trip.

Refund system
In case of trip cancellation in the last 10 days of group arrival, 50% of the deposited amount will be deducted. If the trip cancels 10 days before the group arrival, we settle the full amount in next trip.
