Earth's Paradise Treks & Expeditions
Overview

The 7th highest mountain on earth, Dhaulagiri is the highest mountain in west Nepal and this is famous for mountaineering. This giant mountain blocks the monsoon rain to flow its northern region. So its northern region became arid but the southern region is lush green due to enough rainfall during monsoon. Besides the mountaineering, Dhaulagiri range is also famous for several trekking. Annapurna and Mustang just east of it, Dolpo and Rukum in the west, Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve in the south are quite popular for tourism. Dhaulagiri short circuit trek is in practice so far but the trail seems not well developed for trekking. It is risky due to narrow trails in steep slope, rock falls, icy trail, sudden snow fall.  Dhaulagiri full circuit trek covers large area in the south, west and north.

The trail passes through Barbang hidden valley and Chharka Bhot area of Charka Tangsong Rural Municipality of upper Dolpo restricted area. So it is comparatively longer and expensive but more interesting and better in term of classic culture and safe adventure trek. You will have great opportunity to see traditional villages and typical lifestyle of Magar tribes, Tibetan Bhotia tribe, Tibetan Gurung tribe and Thakali tribe as well as wildlife.
